Material database with sustainability features
Velocity-controlled valve gates
The 3D flow analysis now supports velocity-controlled valve gates on beam elements.
Details:
- The same options are available as for Midplane and Dual Domain.
- Requires a high number of elements in the valve gate area.
Important Note:
To achieve optimal results, it is crucial to maintain a consistent flow front temperature and ensure uniform movement.
3D Injection Compression Molding
Improvement of computation times
The computation time for 3D Fill+Pack and Warp analyses has been accelerated thanks to various improvements in code efficiency and increased use of multithreading. These optimizations do not compromise accuracy. The speed benefits vary depending on the type of analysis. The most significant performance improvements are seen in studies that include core shift analysis, gas-assisted injection molding, compression molding, injection compression molding, and some analyses with fiber materials. Due to these enhancements, you will notice increased memory usage during 3D Warp analyses and 3D Fill+Pack analyses that include core shift or compression phases.
These improvements also include a change in the storage of 3D fill time results. As a result, 3D fill time analysis results calculated in the Moldflow 2025 version will not be displayed in older software versions. This also applies to displaying this result in earlier versions of Moldflow Communicator with an exported .mfr file. To view this exported result, please install the latest version of Moldflow Communicator. The Moldflow 2025 version can display 3D fill time results from previous versions.
Take advantage of the improved analysis speeds and enhance the efficiency of your processes with the latest version of Moldflow!
Improvement of flow front temperature results
With this new feature, we provide you with an even more accurate prediction of the flow front temperature in 3D. The results are now more realistic and align better with the predictions of the Dual Domain method. This allows for more precise planning and optimization of your injection molding processes, resulting in improved product quality.
Leverage this enhanced accuracy to optimize your processes and achieve high-quality results!

The legend bar now refreshes more appropriately when working with warp constraints and other Moldflow tools.
Min/Max labels now support all languages that Moldflow offers.
Improved Warpage Accuracy for Dual Domain Analyses
In Dual Domain analyses, multipoint constraints ensure that the warpage on the top and bottom surfaces remains consistent. The accuracy of warp analyses using Dual Domain mesh technology depends on these multipoint constraint equations. In the new version, these equations have been improved by correcting the interpolation relationship of transverse displacement. This change may lead to minor result changes in all Dual Domain warpage cases.
Improved Temperature Calculation for 3D Flow Analyses
The onset of temperature calculation for 3D flows at a node is adjusted in the Moldflow 2025 release to better align with the arrival of the flow front at the node. The impact of this adjustment is particularly noticeable for models with large thickness variations, where a reduction in potential excessive temperature drop for the calculated temperature can be observed. For some models, this change results in a lower predicted injection pressure and a narrower range of predicted flow front temperatures compared to previous Moldflow releases. In general, the narrower range of predicted flow front temperatures will better match the predictions from Dual Domain flow analyses.
Improved Flow Rate Calculation for Dual Domain Flow Analyses
The Dual Domain flow solver has been enhanced in the Moldflow 2025 release to better simulate the flow rate ramp-up at the start of injection. This enhancement only affects models with a hot runner volume greater than 25% of the volume to be filled.
Automatic Packing is the Default Option for Pack/Hold Control for Some Thermoplastic Molding Processes
Automatic packing is the default option for the packing profile. With this option, the solver automatically determines the duration and magnitude of the packing pressure to ensure that packing does not end before the gate is frozen and that a reasonable packing pressure level is used. The automatic packing profile may not necessarily be the optimal profile.
